My mother-in-law delivered us a huge bag of citrus fruit from her garden and I didn’t want them to go to waste so I wanted to try drying my own citrus fruit. You can use them to flavour your water, in cocktails or also add them to the ‘Baba’ soup for extra lemon.
All you have to do is slice your fruit very thinly. Place them on a piece of baking paper in the lowest heat of your oven. For me it was 50C. Then you have to leave it for a few hours. You want ALL of the moisture to be out of the fruit. It could take 8-10 hrs which is a LONG time, but on the plus side, your oven will smell delicious!
If you can’t be bothered, that’s totally fine! You can buy a dehydrator, or find a friend who has one, or simply buy them already dried here or here.
