It’s strawberry season! They are so delicious and juicy and most importantly… cheap! So why not pick up a punnet and settle in for a Sunday session in the sunshine and make yourself this delicious spritz. It’s Gin based but I also made it using Vodka (which I prefer) and it’s also perfect for a pitcher, just x times the ingredients to match the number of people you’re serving!
STRAWBERRY GIN SUMMER SPRITZ
Wedge of Lime
1 tsp Sugar
2-3 hulled strawberries
Fresh Mint
3 oz Gin or Vodka
Soda Water
Ice
In a tall glass, squeeze them lemon juice and add the sugar and let them mix together and dissolve. Add the hulled strawberries and a few mint leaves. Then muddle together.
Add the gin and mix. Fill the glass with ice and top with soda water.
Garnish with extra mint or strawberries.
