I recently saw an article saying the Australian strawberry farmers are having to destroy their crops due to the low demand caused by the shortage of restaurants and cafe’s closed during lockdown. And they’re supermarkets are now selling them extremely cheaply to move through the stock so they don’t go to waste.
Not like you need another excuse to buy them but really, stock up on your berries now and then use them to create some of these amazing recipes.
Starting with a drink you can try this Strawberry Gin Spritz

Ohh these Strawberry Gummies look delicious
A Strawberry Gazpacho sounds so interesting
You could dry a bunch in the oven
Make them into a Jam
Or pickle them!
Bake them with Goat’s Cheese… YUM!

Or if you’re wanting a healthier alternative these chia puddings look yum
I mean, the list is really endless. But if you don’t have time then you can always just chop up a heap and freeze them for later to maximise the freshness.
