As soon as I got my new yellow Hello Sunday Grace dress I instantly felt like making fresh lemonade! But I wanted to make it Coco friendly so I found this recipe that uses watermelon to get the beautiful pink colour and not food colouring. I cannot wait to be able to share a jug or two with friends very soon.
PINK LEMONADE FOR GROWN UPS
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup Fresh Watermelon
1/2 Cup Sugar (or less)
4 Cups cold water
Ice
Optional: 1 shot pp of Vodka per glass
Add everything except the ice and vodka into a blender and blitz. You can use less water ie. 1 cup if you don’t have a large blender. Strain into a large jug and add in the extra water if you used a smaller blender. Add ice and a shot of vodka to a cup and top with the Pink Lemonade.
Of course if you’re making a non-alcoholic version just leave out the Vodka.
