When I found this cute Gingerbread Man at the Stories to Gather pop up store on the SAME day I received a delicious delivery of coffee from Espresso Broz, I knew I wanted to try and make a Gingerbread Latte like the popular Starbucks drink in America. After some googling, I found a recipe and it’s actually pretty easy! First you start with the Gingerbread Syrup.
Gingerbread Syrup
/4 cup water
2/3 cup sugar
3tbs golden syrup (or in USA they used Molasses)
1tsp ground ginger
1/2tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Heat all the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved then let cool for 30 mins. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 6 serves.
Then prepare your coffee. I did an espresso shot of the Espresso Broz Santa’s Cuppa blend.
Then prepare your milk and foam.
Now it’s time to create your latte. Simple add a drizzle of the syrup to your coffee, as much as you like for the sweetness. Then simply add your milk and foam and sprinkle with cinnamon.
I based mine on this recipe from America
