As much as I love coffee, there are times that I really want a little sweet treat coffee and when Christmas rolls around, I do have penchant for anything Peppermint. So if you can’t get to a Starbucks (there aren’t many in Australia that’s for sure) then this drink will satisfy that craving.
DIY PEPPERMINT MOCHA
1 Tbsp Cocoa
3-4 drops Peppermint Essence/Oil
3-4 drops Vanilla Essence
Espresso Shot or Brewed Coffee
Crushed Candy Canes
Whipped Cream to top (optional)
Crushed Candy Canes to decorate (optional)
Add cocoa, peppermint, vanilla and coffee to a cup. Top with steamed milk, then garnish with the cream and crushed candy canes.
TIP! Freeze the candy canes before you crush them. It makes them much easier and less sticky to work with
